About Us
Established in Sep.2019, the Hebrew University Climate Science Center (HUCS) is the first and largest climate science center in Israel. The goal of HUCS is to serve as a hub for climate research and education, foster national and international collaborations, and provide centralized resources and training to climate scientists. Through shared interest in climate science, HUCS connects experts in Earth sciences, environmental sciences, social sciences, agriculture, geography, computer science, economy and ecology. The primary focus of HUCS is on fundamental science, achieved through advanced modeling capabilities and research grounded in first principles, which can be used to inform policy makers and the general public on climate change.
